CELTIC charters a BOEING 737 from Doha to Urumqi with 50 alive falcons

On May 21st 2015 Celtic China Group chartered one BOEING 737 Business Jet to transport 50 alive falcons from Doha, Qatar to Urumqi in Xinjiang Province of China.

The flight departed at midnight from Doha International Airport with 17 cages on board and 4 passengers including veterinary for birds checking. Aircraft landed at 10.50am local Urumqi time welcomed by Chinese officials and TV since it is the first time falcons are imported in China.

These birds are meant to repopulate the Xinjiang province and will be freed in the Xinjiang falcons Breeding Research Center at Aletai so that they can reproduce. This program is a long term investment in cooperation between China and Qatar with mutual agreement for the next 25 years.
